EDM Titanium - Traditional titanium machining requires slow speeds, heavy feeds, sharp tools and good coolant. Using the EDM (electrical discharge machining) process, titanium can be cut quickly and accurately.

Our machines cut with an anti-electrolysis feature allowing for a non-bluing cut of the titanium. Older machines leave a blue hue that looks like a heat affected zone. Our machines in our Atlanta EDM dept  have the latest in digital generators that allow us to tweak settings that would have been impossible in older, analog EDM machines. All of our titanium settings are custom, in-house settings that eliminate all bluing, while maximizing speed and ensuring quality.

We've cut many sizes and shapes of titanium from flat net profiles to tall bores with tight tolerance over a span of 10".  6AL-4V is a common grade.
